The Tevelyov sisters and the journey to Merke

Tamara and Raya survived the Velizh ghetto, separation from their mother and years in a children’s home. In 1946, the family reunited and moved to Merke in Kazakhstan.

Context: The story is based on Tamara Tevelyova-Malykh’s published memoirs and an archivist’s research.
