Moisey Goldblat between Jewish and Kazakh theatre

Goldblat led the theatre in Alma-Ata in 1941–1944 and staged plays by Auezov and Musrepov.

Moisey Goldblat was an actor at the Moscow State Jewish Theatre (GOSET), taught acting and served as artistic director of the GOSET theatres in Birobidzhan and Kyiv. During the war, his company was evacuated to Dzhambul, Kokand and Fergana.

In 1941–1944, alongside his other work, Goldblat led the Kazakh State Drama Theatre in Alma-Ata. He staged “Enlik–Kebek” by Mukhtar Auezov and “Aqan seri” by Gabit Musrepov.

In 1972, Goldblat moved to Israel.
