Kazakhstani specialists completed a MASHAV course on special education in Haifa

On 12 February 2026, a Kazakhstani group received certificates after completing the course “Innovative Approaches in Special Education”. Training took place at the Golda Meir International Training Center, MASHAV–Carmel, in Haifa. 1

How the course was organised

Participants studied practices in special and inclusive education, visited educational institutions and specialist centres, and met experts and representatives of the relevant government bodies. Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs links the programme to a memorandum on educating children with special educational needs, signed in Astana in November 2025. 1

MASHAV courses for 2026

The Israeli Embassy in Kazakhstan’s page lists three courses taking place abroad in 2026. The two English-language courses are titled “Cyber & AI for Good” and “Developing Organizational and Community Resilience System”. A further course, in Russian, covers sustainable management of water and land resources. 2

Participation requirements

The requirements state that candidates must be between 25 and 55 years old. Applications require a form with a photograph, a medical declaration, copies of a passport and diploma, and certificates relevant to the course. English-language courses require a recommendation letter in English and a certificate showing a level of at least Upper Intermediate. Once the full set of documents has been submitted, a video interview is held to assess language proficiency. 2

According to the embassy, the programme pays for accommodation, meals, training, insurance, study visits, airport transfers in both directions and visa support. The participant or their sponsor pays for flights unless the co-organisers specify otherwise. 2
