Kazakhstan and Israel discussed universities and internships in July 2026

A meeting in Astana covered academic cooperation with Tel Aviv University and the Bolashak programme. According to the embassy, 145 Kazakhstani specialists have studied or completed internships in Israel over the years the programmes have operated.

On 8 July 2026 in Astana, Kazakhstan’s Ambassador to Israel, Daulet Yemberdiyev, met Abai Rakhmet, acting chair of the board of the Center for International Programs. They discussed academic ties between Kazakhstan and Israel, including cooperation with Tel Aviv University, the Bolashak programme and opportunities for Kazakhstani specialists to study. 1
